BlackBerry Bold 9790, Curve 9380 Announced



Research in Motion (RIM) has announced two new Blackberry smartphones ‘Blackberry Bold 9790‘ and ‘Blackberry Curve 9380‘, which is the first mobile in the ‘Curve’ range to feature a touchscreen.

Both the devices run on Blackberry 7 operating system and come with built-in support for reality applications such as the premium version of Documents To Go, BlackBerry Protect (a free online back-up service), and BlackBerry Balance (a technology enables BlackBerry smartphones to be used for business and personal purposes without compromise).

Blackberry Bold 9790 sports a 2.44-inch screen with 360 x 480 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1 GHz Marvel Tavor MG1 processor with 768MB RAM. Featuring a physical QWERTy keyboard and 5-megapixel rear camera, it comes with 8GB internal memory which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 replaces the conventional keyboard and boasts a 3.2-inchcapacitive touchscreen with 480 x 360 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 800 MHz processor with 512MB RAM. Though the specifications haven’t been made official yet, it is expected that the phone will feature a 5-megapixel camera and 1GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB).

While the pricing details for both the devices are still unknown, they’ll be available in the market in the next few weeks.
