AT&T is a leading telecom of US with largest 4G LTE coverage. We are going to discuss the top 5 Android smartphone that AT&T has already launched and these phones are gaining market rapidly. Most of the phones here are Android OS based except the iPhone 4S. We have done this review for people who are looking to buy a AT&T enabled smartphone on Cyber Monday or Christmas.

Samsung Captivate Glide



Samsung Captivate Glide is the first AT&T android smartphone to feature QWERTY keypad. Made by light textured black plastic, the Glide feels well built and comfortable in your hand. The QWERTY keypad slides out beautifully when you have to use it. It features a 4-inch, 800x480p Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, a 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash and a front camera 1.3 MP camera for video calling and a Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery. NVidia’s 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor supported by ULP GeForce GPU is powered by Android v2.3 Gingerbread. Connectivity features include Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0, HDMI port, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, 3G and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It has an internal memory of 8 GB which can be expanded to 32GB through microSD. AT&T Captivate Glide is selling for $149.99.

Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket



The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket is AT&T’s version of the Galaxy S II. This smartphone is equipped with Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display of 4.5-inch protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, a 8MP camera capable with LED flash capable of 1080p video recording plus front 2MP camera for video calling and a Li-Ion 1850 mAh battery that provides talktime of up to 7 hours. Galaxy S II Skyrocket can store up to 16 GB data and can be expanded through microSD slot that supports 32GB. The Dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor with 1GB RAM works on Android v2.3.5 Gingerbread OS. The availability of Adreno 220 GPU supports HD gaming. The connectivity options include 4G LTE,GPRS, EDGE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Galaxy S II Skyrocket has a cost of $249.99.

HTC Vivid



HTC Vivid is first AT&T 4G smartphone that work on GSM & UMTS 850/1900MHz network. Being encased in metal it has classier look but also feels much heavier. HTC Vivid features a 4.5 inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen display of 540 x 960p, a 8 MP camera with dual LED flash that can record HD videos of 1080p and a 1.3 MP camera on the front. Dual-core 1.2 GHz Scorpion Qualcomm APQ8060 Snapdragon processor makes an instant access to applications while working on Android v2.3.5 Gingerbread OS. The featured Adreno 220 GPU is the latest GPU for optimum level of gaming. HTC Sense UI has own unique 3D experience. Motorola’s Atrix 2 is another Android smartphone launched with AT&T. Motorola Atrix 2 feels comfortable to hold with soft rubber on the back. It is 4.3 inch smartphone with TFT capacitive touchscreen display of 540 x 960p protected by Gorilla Glass to avoid screen crash during accidents. The 8 MP autofocus camera supported by LED flash has HD video recording capability of 1080p. Apple’s newly launched smartphone Apple iPhone 4 is also introduced with AT&T. While AT&T service is available with only 32GB model. IPhone 4 has made a great remark in the world despite it being pricey and less features. It has 3.5 inch AMOLED Capacitive Touch Screen display of 640x960p with multitouch function. It does not feature a memory card slot so there is not much storage facility than others. It has a 5MP camera with LED flash that records HD videos of 720p and a front VGA camera for video calling. It is powered by 1GHz A4 ARM Cortex A8 processor that works on iOS4 platform. It comes with an advanced Li-Pol battery of 1420mAh that provides talktime of up to 7 hours and standby time of 300 hours. iPhone 4 32GB has price of $887.
