Remove Skype Icon from Windows 7 Taskbar

When the Skype window is closed, by default its icon still keeps appearing in the Windows 7 taskbar. If you find it annoying and would like to get rid of it, here’s a simple tutorial to help you remove the icon from the taskbar:

1. Launch Skype.
2. Head to Tools option in the menu bar and click on Options.
3. The options window will show up. Navigate to the Advanced settings tab.
4. Uncheck the “Keep Skype in the Taskbar while I’m signed in” option located at the right-side hand of the window.
5. Click Save to apply & save the setting.
Bingo! The Skype icon will be removed from the Taskbar and won’t appear anymore.

Remove Pre-Installed Games in Windows 7

Windows 7 comes with many pre-installed games such as Chess Titans, Minesweeper, Solitaire etc. and I must admit I love playing these games occasionally. However they take up valuable space on the hard drives and if these games do not match your tastes there’s no point in having them installed. It’s better for you to remove them and free up space in your system. But what if you don’t know how to do that? By following the steps listed in this tutorial, you will easily be able to remove all pre-installed games in Windows 7:
1. Click the Start Menu and head over to the Control Panel.
2. Look up Programs and Features and open it.

3. Click on the ‘Turn Windows features on or off‘ link located on the left side.

4. A window will show up that allows you to enable or disable many of the built-in features in Windows 7.
5. Uncheck the Games option (or expand the list and select particular games you want to uninstall) located right at the start of the list.

6. Click OK.
7. It will take a few minutes for the settings to be applied, following which the games you selected will be uninstalled.

How to Install ICS on Galaxy S2

With Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich source code having being made available for download, you might want to upgrade to the latest version of Android. In this tutorial we will show you exactly how you can install ICS on your Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone.
Since the build is still in Alpha stage, some of the features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Camera etc. might not work. It’s up to you whether you want to install it for testing purposes or wait for the more stable beta release. Anyway, here are the steps for installing ICS on Galaxy S2:

1. Download the ICS file to your computer from the link below: Galaxy S II ICS Alpha 7
2. Connect your phone to the computer via USB and transfer the file to the root of the storage media of your device.

3. Switch off your device after the transferring of the file is complete.

4. Next you need to boot into the ClockworkMod Recovery. In order to do that, holdHome + Power + Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the main menu appears on the screen.
5. Scroll down to mounts and storage, followed by format/system. Format the data and cache by tapping on format/data and /cache.
6. Navigate back to the menu and tap on wipe data/factory reset.
7. In order to flash ICS to your device, select “install zip from sdcard” in the main menu, followed by “choose zip from sdcard” and then enter the name of the ICS fileyou downloaded in the first step.
Voila! It’s done! You will have successfully installed Android 4.0 ICS on your Galaxy S2.
